Our handmade hammered cross bracelet is made by the Khutsala™ Artisans. It features colored ceramic beads that are handmade in rural Eswatini, Africa. The production of these SwaziMUD™ beads provides work for men and women in a country with unemployment estimates reaching up to 70%.
These bracelets are great for everyday wear and are made for a purpose. 100% of the profits from the sale of Khutsala™ goods goes directly back to the care of children living on Project Canaan in Eswatini, Africa.
Our SwaziMUD™ beads are handmade at Project Canaan in Eswatini, Africa by the Khutsala™ Artisans. These beads are made from African mud that is hand-rolled and then baked in a kiln for 8 hours. After the beads are hardened, they are hand glazed and then baked again for another 8 hours turning them into uniquely colored glass beads.
Over 50% of the population living in Eswatini, Africa is living below the poverty line. Project Canaan is a 2,500-acre farm located in Eswatini that employs over 100 artisans and provides a fair wage to them to help support their livelihood and their families.
